Interview with S.Aisha
Author of THE BOOK ABOUT THE BANES OF CHILDREN IN MODERN SOCIETY
S.Aisha lives next to the sea in a tiny suburb in India. The author likes to write children's books, YA and also sometimes crosses over to family and emotions. An ideal day for her would be to sit on her patio, with a steaming cup of tea and a book that takes her across the ocean to the land yonder.

How would you describe 'The Book about the Banes of Children in Modern society' to the reader?
- The book is essential in understanding a child/young adults mindset. Today children are under stress and peer pressure, many are unable to express their fear and their loneliness. 'The Banes of children' explores the area where parents fear to tread.
What was the inspiration behind 'The Book about the Banes of Children in Modern society' ?
- The inspiration was a five-year-old girl. While playing with my child she said she has a twin sister, I smiled and asked her, "where is your twin?' She replied, "in my mirror." after speaking to her mother it dawned on me that the child was lonely and she had made her mirror image into her sibling.

- The authors I admire are many, Mark Twain, Jane Austen, Sidney Sheldon and Dan Brown..... And the list goes on.
Which character in 'The Book about the Banes of Children in Modern society' has had the greatest impact on yourself?
- Each character is significant, but somehow I feel a special affiliation to Sue, who is hyperactive and always on the go.
If 'The Book about the Banes of Children in Modern society' were to be adapted for TV or film, who would you see in the lead role? Who did you have in your mind’s eye when you wrote him/her?
- I cannot pinpoint to any one single actor, I would say 'every child actor across the globe.'
How have readers responded to 'The Book about the Banes of Children in Modern society'?
- I have got an amazing response, from readers.
Where next? What are you working on now?
- I will shortly be publishing a children's book.
