How would you describe The Blue-Eyed Wizard and The Island of Exiles to a new reader?
  • Dustin is a young boy who lives in a poor town in the seashore. He discovers a hidden island guided by the umbrella of his one true love who was killed by a demon. He has adventures in it, meet new creatures he hasn't seen before and battle some of them. At the end. He discovers a prophecy in the castle of the island and set all evil spirits free. That's how begins the story of the Blue-Eyed Wizard.
What was the inspiration behind The Blue-Eyed Wizard and The Island of Exiles?
  • Since I was a child I wanted to be an artist and I decided to become a writer. Getting into the literaty world I fell in love with Fantasy books and read a lot of them to be able to write my own series. Also, I was inspired by the song lyrics of my favorite band "La Oreja de Van Gogh".
Which authors do you admire? How have they influenced your writing style?
  • The genre was inspired by the most successful writers of it, but my writing style was inspired by the Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Can you tell us a little about the locations in the book?
  • It is located to the south of the US, after the first war of the possesion for the world, which leaves the world completely destroyed.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors? How would you advise a new author about traditional publishing versus self publishing?
  • I would recommend him/her to write about their culture and the experiences they have lived.
What's your writing process?
  • Actually I write what it comes first to my mind, then I organize the story and finally I reread it in order to verify that everything makes sense and fix it.
Which character in The Blue-Eyed Wizard and The Island of Exiles has had the greatest impact on readers?
  • Dustin, the protagonist

  • I didn't think about anyone in specific, but I would rather it be Spanish.

Synopsis

The Blue Eyed Wizard and The Island of Exiles, is the beginning of a series about a young boy who still doesn't know he has magical and angélic powers inside him. Dustin is his name. He lives in Ashban, a poor town on the seashore that was built by the survivors of the war for the possesión of the world.

Mysteriously, Dustin is taken by a flying umbrella to the unknown Island of Exiles. It is a prison of evil spirits and terrifying demons. He goes there in search of his true love who was killed by The Lord of Fire some years ago.

There, he discovers a new world with creatures he had never seen. Most of them, are caught in nature and statues.

Standing In the middle of the island there is a huge castle surrounded by a large garden of flowers. Dustin is deceived by them and takes some inside to get the watering can of eternity.

In the abandoned king's room. he finds a prophecy drawn on the wall with a strange mural of brilliant gold. It has seven values.

Dustin reaches a watering can at the top of the castle and the water is poured over the entre island. setting demons and evil spirits free.

That's the beginning of the fulfillment of the prophecy and the story of the Blue-Eyed Wizard in his search for the truth that will set us free.
