How would you describe Our Fathers who art in Lapland to a new reader?
- very easy reading, my books are short and fast with an emphasis on fun and humor.
What was the inspiration behind Our Father who art in Lapland?
- it's the second book in the series, Our Fathers is heavenly influencend by Father Ted and Monty python's flying circus, it's pure silliness.
Which authors do you admire? How have they influenced your writing style?
- Douglas Adams.
Can you tell us a little about the locations in your book?
- well like the title suggests it's nearly all set in Lapland around santas workshop.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
- just to keep writing you might have to wait your entire life before anyone reads what you have wrote but somebody will.
What's your writing process?
- I have my routine I'm a single dad so I take my kids to school, come home and write until it's time to pick them up again, I am a bit of a machine I dont need anything other than time, when I have the time I write.
Which character in Our Fathers who art in Lapland has had the greatest impact on readers?
- I think Mr. whan has outdone himself this time he was a bit of a bit player in the last book but this time around he is much more central.
If Our Fathers who art in Lapland were to be adapted for TV or film, who would you see in the lead role? Who did you have in your mind’s eye when you wrote him/her?
- I would love to see peter Kay and paddy mcginnis play father O,Malley and Father O,Riley.
How have readers responded to Our Father who art in Lapland?
- they love it, I worry that I get more bizzare and abstract with every book but they seem to like that.
Where next? What are you working on now?
- I have started on a book called Galaxy wars Administration, it's basically star wars but from the perspective of the administration staff onboard the bad guys ship who are more concerned with who has been stealing from the fridge than conquering the universe.
