How would you describe Bitten Again to a new reader?
  • Bitten Again is a continuation of the story of Bitten:
Bitten is not the typical Vampire book. In fact, it's not a Vampire book at all. However, it has the same mystic, danger, and romance aspects with a very different twist. How about being bitten, not for blood, but to be envenomate like a snake, but how you're bitten determines which venom you get. Death? Or unquenchable sexual desire?
What was the inspiration behind Bitten Again ?
  • Bitten Again is a continuation of the story of Natalie and Uri. I was on a fan pushed writing spree to write a book a month. This is the second book of the series. As of this interview there are five books with a sixth planned.
Which authors do you admire? How have they influenced your writing style?
  • I love science fiction and cozy mysteries, but I can't put a finger on any author who influenced my writing style. In fact, I try not to read any book while writing one of my own. I need to make sure the books I write are totally my own. Much of what I do write about may be a blip of something idiotic on the news or what I see in real life.
Can you tell us a little about the locations in your book?
  • The Bitten series is located in a huge metropolis. I didn't pattern it on any city I know. All of it is fictional. Since the story is so fantastical, I had to build a fantastical city to place it into. Rarely will I place a my characters in a real city since that means I have to follow some rules. It is more fun to have no rules when writing.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
  • You are a story teller. A story needs to develop. You can no rush into it. Also remember as the character goes through the story that life happens - yes, they may need to solve a mystery, but they still need to eat, use the bathroom, and pay the bills.
What's your writing process?
  • I usually get a cover made first out of the idea I have. Once the cover is complete, that is my cue to write the book.I know what I want to happen. I start with the first chapter which always introduces the main character, then I write the ending. All that is left is to fill in the middle.
Which character in 'insert title' has had the greatest impact on readers?
  • Nattie is a young lady who grows tremendously during the book. One might say this is a coming-of-age story. She learns what she can do. Each book in the series shows her growth and how she influences the world around her.
If Bitten Again were to be adapted for TV or film, who would you see in the lead role? Who did you have in your mind’s eye when you wrote him/her?
  • This is a difficult question. I would be so keen to see who a director would pick. I'd really like to see how other people see the character and what they would do to bring her to life.
How have readers responded toBitten Again?
  • I have gotten tremendous favorable reviews. I find it funny that my assassin, knife wielding, male character, Uri, is loved by everyone.
Where next? What are you working on now?
  • I have another series that I call Banter. I am currently working on Bantering With A Runaway, which is book 5 of that series.
